MAS created and pitched the event to Kappa in order to activate their existing football assets: shirt sponsorship, as well as helping them to launch a new line of products: The Combat Football Shirt.

Four Kappa teams: Feyenoord, Partizan Belgrade, Tottenham Hotspur and Real Betis played four matches in front of a crowd of over fifty thousand during 2 days of world class football.

The tournament was created with three primary objectives

  • Maximise the media exposure and positioning of the brand image worldwide.
  • Implement the symergy between the sponsored clubs and the Kappa brand.
  • Create the perfect show-window for the new Kombat line of products.

MAS created the concept, organised all the teams logistics and coordinate the television production and international TV distribution. The event reached over 500 million acc. TV homes in 129 countries.

The Kappa Cup took place at the Olympic Stadium in Seville during the summer of 2004.
